Morgan County’s fall clean-up week will be Monday, October 15th through Friday, October 19th, 2018from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This event is open to all Morgan County residents, except forcommercial establishments or businesses. It is at discretion of the Scale House Operator if a truckis commercial. Residents may bring the following items to the Transfer Station located on 2480Athens Highway, Madison, FREE OF CHARGE during that entire week:o old furnitureo batterieso metal productso brush and yard trimmingso tires: tire disposal is intended for residents not commercial operators; as such, any single loadover 5 tires and/or multiple trip customers may be rejected by county staff and mandated to pay thestandard rates. Also, all tires must be “off-the-rim”.All items must be sorted. All materials must be secured or covered during transport to preventlittering. Semi-Tractor Trailer, Skidder and Large Equipment tires are NOT included.For safety reasons, no children younger than 6 years will be allowed out of vehicles inside theTransfer Station. It is advised that participants wear appropriate footwear (no open-toe shoes areadvised).Proof of residence with ID will be required to participate. PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO RECYCLE!
