From the Chief
Welcome to the Morgan County Fire Rescue website. It is my privilege to take a moment to tell you about our great department. Being a combination department, I truly believe that we have the best of both worlds when it comes to the fire service. We have a group of dedicated men and women that offer their time and knowledge to make Morgan County a better and safer community for those that live here as well as the many visitors each day. Morgan County has many wonderful attractions from major working farms to historic downtown Madison. We have a large State Park, Hard Labor Creek, that offers many attributes and activities for all the seasons throughout the year.
As the County Fire Chief, it is my pleasure and honor to lead, guide, and work with the great group of career and volunteer members of Morgan County Fire Rescue. As the consolidation of the many community department has come together in the past decade, the men and women have joined forces to provide an even greater service the county and its residents. As Chief, It is my responsibility to provide oversight and direction for the department, its members, and provide a plan and set of goals to the County Administration and Commission.
The goals and plans of the department are always looking towards the future, never settling for today. As with any organization, the fire service is constantly changing and evolving. As Chief, along with all the department members, we strive to maintain and stay up-to-date and even ahead of these changes. Our number one goal, as stated in our vision and mission statements, is to provide the best service possible to the community and those that visit.
As Fire Chief, it will always be my focus and constant goal to assure we maintain those services to anyone and everyone within our jurisdiction and provide assistance when needed to our neighbors. I want to thank you for taking the time to visit our website, I hope that you can one day come visit us here in Morgan County. Visitors are always welcomed and encouraged to stop by and say hello.
