Mr. Donald B. Harris is a native of Morgan County and a graduate of Pearl High School. Mr. Harris obtained a BS in Education from Fort Valley State College & University, and an MS in Physical Education and Biology from Georgia College and State University. He served two years in the United States Army, where he was awarded a National Defense Service medal as an infantry soldier and a Purple Heart medal. Mr. Harris taught science in the Morgan County School System for more than 30 years, was Head Basketball Coach for 25 years and also Assistant Football coach. Mr. Harris currently serves as chairman of the Deacons Board and the Finance Committee at Plainview Baptist Church. He is married to the former Geraldine Gordon, and has a son, Donald Dermid Harris.
