9-1-1 Signs
Your 9-1-1 street number is critical to public safety personnel being able to locate your home in a quick and efficient manner. Remember, in many emergencies time is of the essence and literally every second counts. If you have not already posted your 9-1-1 street number, please do so and help us help you. If you want to purchase your 9-1-1 street number or if you are unsure of how it should be posted, please call the Morgan County Fire Department at (706) 343-6503. The cost for 9-1-1 street signs are $15.

Burn Ban Information
Morgan County is one of 54 counties that fall under the outdoor burning ban under the jurisdiction of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Environmental Protection Division (EPD). To meet compliance, there are no permits issued by the Georgia Forestry unit between May 1 and September 30 of each year.

However, this does not restrict the use of home grills, outdoor chimneys, and contained recreational fires. To acquire a burn permit, call 1 (877) OK2-BURN / 1 (877) 652-2876 or visit their website. If you have any questions you may call your local forestry unit at (770) 207-4204.
