About Morgan County

Counties perform the dual roles of acting as an agent of the state and of acting as a local government entity, responsive to the needs and preferences of the community. As a local government entity Morgan County provides services such as law enforcement, correctional institutions, road construction and maintenance, parks and recreation, libraries, and environmental resources. It also operates "enterprise" programs, which charge fees to users for services. One such example is the Morgan County Solid Waste facility. For more information on this and other aspects of your County Goverment, please browse through the different sections of this website, or contact our office.

This site is a good source of information about Morgan County Government and provides assistance in obtaining services.  We are dedicated to serving the citizens of Morgan County in the most efficient and effective way possible.  Whether you are a resident, part time resident, or visitor, and whether you come to Morgan County to live, work or enjoy the scenery; it is our job to make your experience more enjoyable.  We hope your visit to our site is pleasant and useful and that you will come back again.
